Welcome to Prompt, Tinker, Innovate—my AI playground. Every week, we dive into a practical AI use case that challenges how you think and work.

Your mission? Try the prompt, tinker with it, and watch what happens when you bring AI into the heart of your workflow.

This week’s playground: Test your messaging, content, and ideas with AI-simulated personas
Why this matters

You’ve spent hours crafting a message, shaping an idea, or refining a piece of content—but here’s the truth: most of it gets ignored. Why? Because it’s built for you, not the person you’re trying to reach.

This approach flips that. It uses AI to simulate your target audience—so you can test not just what you wrote, but what you’re trying to say. Think of it as pre-launch feedback for your next big idea, hook, headline, or email—before it ever goes live.

Your AI experiment: Try this two-step prompt

👉 Time to tinker: Use this two-step prompt in ChatGPT, Claude, or your AI tool of choice. First, build a buyer persona. Then, test your content, messaging, or ideas (in the same chat window).

Step 1: Build your persona

📝 Prompt: "You are a buyer persona generation expert. Create a realistic persona for a [role] in the [market/industry]. Generate a persona that includes: 1) name, job title, and industry, 2) key responsibilities, 3) goals and challenges, 4) what keeps them up at night, 5) buying triggers, 6) preferred communication style, and 7) tools or platforms they use."

💡 Pro tip:

  • Ask follow-up questions to ensure the AI considers the core business questions that matter to you, like how your offering fits into their daily decisions or what would make them switch vendors.

  • Once refined, you can even embed this persona into a custom GPT to reuse across future message testing, idea validation, or campaign planning.

Step 2: Test your messaging, content, or idea

📝 Prompt: "Now take on the voice of [person name above]. Read the input below and evaluate it based on: 1) relevance to your goals and challenges, 2) tone and clarity, 3) trust and credibility, 4) likelihood to engage or take action, 5) anything that doesn’t make sense or feels unclear, and 6) points you disagree with or would push back on. Provide detailed feedback and suggest how to improve it for someone like you. Input: [Insert or upload your message, content snippet, or idea]"

💡 Pro tip: Want even sharper insights? Follow up with:

  • “What would instantly make this more compelling to you?”

  • “What’s missing that you’d expect to see?”

  • “Rewrite the call-to-action or headline in your voice.”

What did you learn?

Did the AI help you catch weak spots in your pitch or content? Did it show you where your idea might miss the mark?

Challenge: Share a before-and-after of your idea, headline, or draft based on the feedback. I might feature it in a future issue (with credit, of course).

📩 See you next week with another bold AI experiment.
